Pinterest Video Downloader

Pinterest Video Downloader is a browser-based tool for checking public Pinterest Pin links and saving the available media file. Paste the link to an individual Pin, let the tool process it, and select an available video or image result.

The tool works through a web browser, so you do not need to install an APK, desktop program, or browser extension. It can be opened on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

Results depend on the media available in the original Pin. Some Pins may provide a video, while others contain only an image or another unsupported media type. The downloader does not increase the original resolution or unlock private content.

How It Works

Download Pinterest Videos Using a Link

Download Pinterest Videos Using a Link graphic showing a Pinterest video Pin and a paste-link download button
Download Pinterest VideoPaste the direct link of an individual Pin to check for an available media file.

A Pinterest Downloader uses the public URL of an individual Pin to find the media connected to that page. You copy the link from Pinterest, paste it into the input field, and ask the tool to check it.

When supported media is found, the results area displays the files that are available to save. Depending on the Pin and the tool's technical support, this may include a video file, a static image, or more than one media option.

The tool should only be used with publicly accessible Pin links. It is not designed to open private Pins, bypass account restrictions, or retrieve deleted media.

For the most reliable result, use the direct URL of the individual Pin rather than a board, profile, search page, home feed, or external website linked from the Pin.

Getting Started

How to Use the Pinterest Downloader

The complete process normally takes four simple steps.

  1. 1

Copy the Pinterest Pin link — open Pinterest and find the video or image Pin you want to save. On the Pinterest mobile app, open the individual Pin, tap the Share icon, and select Copy link (Pinterest's help documentation confirms an individual Pin can be shared this way). On a desktop browser, open the Pin and copy its full URL from the address bar, or use the Share menu when a Copy link option is available. Make sure you copy the Pin link itself rather than the destination website linked inside it — a valid Pin URL will normally direct you back to a specific page on Pinterest.

  2. 2

Paste the link into the tool — return to the Pinterest Video Downloader and paste the copied URL into the link field. You can select the Paste button or press and hold inside the field on a mobile device. Check that no extra words, spaces, or punctuation have been added to the URL, then select Find Media to begin processing the link.

  3. 3

Check the available media — the tool checks the public Pin page for supported media, and you may see a loading message such as “Checking the Pin for available media…”. If the Pin contains a supported file, a result card appears that may show a preview, file type, available quality, or download button, depending on the information returned by the source. A Pin's presence does not guarantee a downloadable result — it may be private, deleted, restricted, unsupported, or linked to media that the tool cannot process.

  4. 4

Save the file to your device — select the available video or image button. Your browser may save the file automatically, ask where you want to save it, display the media in a new browser tab, or show the file in its download manager. If the file opens instead of downloading, use the browser's download or save control. On mobile devices, you may need to press and hold the media before selecting a suitable save option.

Supported Links

What This Pinterest Download Tool Supports

Graphic listing Pinterest content types referenced when checking what this download tool supports
What This Pinterest Download Tool SupportsIndividual public Pins with a video or image file are supported — see the list above for confirmed unsupported link types.

The downloader clearly distinguishes between confirmed support and unsupported content.

The tool is intended for individual Pins that can be opened publicly without private-account access.

A full Pinterest Pin URL is normally the most reliable link type. Short Pinterest sharing links may also work when the tool can follow the redirect to the public Pin.

Media Types

Video and Image Pins This Tool Can Process

The available result depends entirely on the media in the original Pin — not every Pin contains a downloadable file.

MP4 · source quality

Video Pins

A supported video Pin may return a downloadable video file. The available format, audio, quality, and file size depend on the source media and the downloader's processing method. The tool displays only the options it actually detects — it does not show inactive 1080p, 2K, or 4K buttons when those files are unavailable.

Static image

Image Pins

Some Pins contain a static image rather than a video. When image downloading is supported, the result may be provided in the source format or another technically supported image format.

Android Guide

Download Pinterest Videos on Android

The main process is similar on every device, but the location of the saved file can vary.

  1. 1

Open the Pinterest application and copy the individual Pin link through its Share menu.

  2. 2

Open the downloader in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or another supported mobile browser.

  3. 3

Paste the URL, process it, and select the available result.

  4. 4

Find the file in your browser's Downloads section, the Downloads folder in a file manager, the Files application, or the Gallery, when the device automatically indexes the media.

  5. 5

If the download does not start, check whether the browser has permission to save files, and make sure your phone has enough available storage.

  6. 6

Avoid repeatedly pressing the download button — multiple requests can create duplicate files or trigger the browser's automatic-download protection.

Desktop Guide

Download Pinterest Videos on Windows and Mac

Open the individual Pin in a desktop browser and copy the complete URL from the address bar.

  1. 1

Open the individual Pin in a desktop browser and copy the complete URL from the address bar.

  2. 2

Paste it into the Pinterest Downloader and select Find Media.

  3. 3

Once the results appear, choose an available file.

  4. 4

Most desktop browsers save files in the Downloads folder unless you have selected another location — check the browser's download history when you cannot find the file.

  5. 5

The tool can be used through common desktop browsers, including Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

iOS Guide

Download Pinterest Videos on iPhone and iPad

Copy the individual Pin link from the Pinterest Share menu, then open Safari and visit the downloader.

Copy the individual Pin link from the Pinterest Share menu.

  2. 2

Open Safari, visit the downloader, and paste the link into the tool.

  3. 3

After processing the Pin, select an available file.

  4. 4

Find the file through Safari's Downloads button or inside the Downloads folder in the Files application — Apple documents both of these locations for internet downloads on iPhone and iPad.

  5. 5

A downloaded video does not always appear in the Photos application automatically. You may first need to open it in Files and use the Share or Save Video option, where supported.

  6. 6

If a video opens in a Safari tab, press and hold it or use the available browser sharing controls — the exact options can vary according to the file type and iOS version.

Quality & Format

Pinterest Video Quality and File Format

Video quality is one of the most misunderstood parts of online download tools.

The downloader can only return the media quality that is available from the source and supported by its processing system. It cannot turn a low-resolution upload into a genuine HD, Full HD, 2K, or 4K video — increasing the displayed resolution label would not restore detail that was missing from the original file. Some Pins may provide more than one quality option; others may return only one file. A clear result shows the detected resolution rather than promising a fixed quality before the link has been processed.

Many web videos are delivered in MP4, but the actual output is confirmed for each result. When an MP4 file is available, the button can be labelled Download MP4. If the source format varies, the result shows the real file type instead of presenting every download as MP4 — the website does not call itself a Pinterest-to-MP4 converter unless it performs a genuine format-conversion process.

File size can vary according to video duration, resolution, frame rate, compression, audio quality, and the original source format. Higher-resolution videos are often larger and may take longer to save on a slow connection — this does not mean that the downloader has improved the quality.

A downloaded video may include its original audio when an audio track is present and supported, though the tool does not promise sound for every file — when audio is missing, compare the downloaded result with the original public Pin before reporting an error. Some Pins may instead contain:

  • A silent video
  • Unsupported audio
  • Separate video and audio streams
  • Media that has already been muted
  • A preview without the full source audio
Troubleshooting

Why is a Pinterest Video Not Downloading?

A failed download does not always mean that the website is broken. Start by checking the link and the availability of the original Pin.

  • Invalid Pinterest link: the URL may be incomplete, copied incorrectly, or mixed with extra text — open the individual Pin again, use its Copy link option, and paste the new link without editing it.

  • Board or profile link: a board contains multiple Pins, while a profile contains many boards and posts — a downloader built for individual media normally needs the link to one specific Pin, so open the required Pin before copying the URL.

  • Private or restricted Pin: a private, invitation-only, login-restricted, age-restricted, or region-restricted Pin may not be available to the tool — the downloader does not bypass access controls, so use only media that is publicly accessible and that you are permitted to save.

  • Deleted or unavailable Pin: the creator may have removed the Pin, changed its visibility, or deleted the source media — open the URL directly in your browser, and if the Pin is no longer available there, the downloader will not be able to recover it.

  • Download button does not appear: no result may appear when the Pin does not contain supported media, the page structure has changed, the URL is unsupported, a required script was blocked, the processing server returned an error, or the network request timed out — refresh the page once and submit the correct Pin URL again, and avoid sending the same request repeatedly.

  • File opens in a new tab: some browsers display video and image files instead of saving them immediately — use the browser's download control, press and hold the media on a mobile device, or use a supported Save option; do not install an unknown extension simply to force the download.

  • Download starts but does not save: check available storage space, browser download permissions, the configured Downloads folder, browser download history, device file permissions, and whether the download was blocked — on iPhone and iPad check Safari's Downloads button and the Files application, and on Android and desktop devices check the browser's download manager.

  • Downloaded video has no audio: play the original public Pin first — if it is silent there, the downloaded file is likely reflecting the source. If the original has sound but the result does not, the audio track may not have been detected or combined correctly — try the link again before reporting the issue through the Contact page.

  • Video quality is low: the source Pin may contain only a lower-resolution version — the downloader cannot recreate missing detail or upscale a file into true HD, so select another detected quality only when the results page genuinely offers one.

  • Temporary processing error: Pinterest can change how its pages and media are delivered, so server, network, or platform changes may temporarily affect link processing — wait briefly, reload the tool, and try the public Pin link again. A persistent problem should be reported with the Pin URL and the exact error message, provided that sharing the URL does not expose private information.

Privacy

Privacy and Data Handling

Privacy and Data HandlingHTTPS is used, but our Privacy Policy explains what actually happens to a submitted link.

The website uses HTTPS, but HTTPS alone does not make every download, advertisement, or third-party service completely risk-free.

Users should never be asked to provide Pinterest passwords, private-board invitations, payment-card information, or unrelated personal documents to process a public link.

A downloader's privacy section should explain what happens to a submitted link instead of making broad claims such as “completely anonymous” or “100% secure.” Our published Privacy Policy discloses:

  • Whether submitted URLs are recorded
  • How long URLs remain in logs
  • Whether media passes through the website's server
  • Whether temporary media files are stored
  • Whether IP addresses appear in server logs
  • Whether analytics tools are installed
  • Whether advertising scripts are used
  • Which cookies or local-storage items are created
  • Whether external APIs or hosting services receive the URL
  • How users can request information or deletion
